Mr. Beaumont is a principal and partner of Rapkin Gitlin & Beaumont, a full-service community association law firm that has been representing homeowners associations for over 30 years. Mr. Beaumont manages the Firm’s community association law department, maintaining offices in Los Angeles (Woodland Hills), Central Coast (San Louis Obispo), Central California (Bakersfield), Inland Empire (Rancho Cucamonga) and Orange County (Orange).
Mr. Beaumont devotes his practice to providing corporate/general legal counsel and litigation services to the Firm’s community association clients. Mr. Beaumont has a broad range of legal experience, from drafting legal documents (governing documents, contracts, resolutions, policies, etc.) to conducting complex jury trials. Mr. Beaumont’s philosophy is to bring to the table the diversity necessary to most efficiently, affordably and effectively represent RG&B’s clients.
Mr. Beaumont is extremely active in the community association industry. He serves on many trade, educational and legislative organizations, such as:
· Community Association Institute (CAI). Mr. Beaumont serves as a national faculty member and is a member of the Channel Islands, Los Angeles, Inland Empire and Orange County Chapters. He served as the 2006 Channel Islands Chapter President and currently serves as Chair of the CEO Manager Committee.
· Delegate – California Legislative Action Committee (CLAC). Mr. Beaumont monitors legislation affecting homeowners associations and informs industry professionals and Board members on pending laws.
· California Association of Community Managers (CACM). Mr. Beaumont is an affiliate member and member of the Legal Steering Committee, which educates community managers and assists CACM in legal policy.
· Building Industry Association (BIA). Mr. Beaumont is a member of BIA, an organization devoted to the residential building industry.
· Member – American Bar Association, California Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Mr. Beaumont obtained his Jurist Doctorate degree from the University of La Verne College of Law, graduating with honors and in the top 2% of his class. He also participated on the College of Law’s moot court team, competing nationally, and served as the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Legal Advocacy & Practice, a prestigious legal periodical. He also graduated with honors from the California Lutheran University with a Bachelors of Science.
